For Earth Day 2022, YouTube invited documentary filmmaker Jack Harries to visit a unique and personal location, to celebrate this one-of-a-kind planet we all call home.
For as long as Jack can remember, Kew Gardens in West London has had a special place in his heart. Jack spent the day with Professor Phil Stevenson, a researcher at The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, to learn more about how plants are being used to combat the climate crisis.

Brother Film is a creative production company, founded by brothers.
From making skate films on VHS as kids, Brother has developed into a production company based in Peckham, London. With a small core team and a tight network of world-class directors and crew, we pride ourselves on delivering creative work with good people.
We love seeing a concept through from idea generation to the final file upload, but are equally adept at jumping into a project at any stage.
Peckham is a big part of Brother’s DNA, and we started up a local event series, Peckham Filmmakers, to link up local creatives and hero their work.
Our sister company Brother Music is an award-winning music and sound studio, creating bespoke scores and soundscapes for both Brother’s work and a range of other directors, agencies and production companies.
We’re still enthusiastic skater kids at heart, and want that to bleed through into everything we do.
1% for the Planet
We’re proud to be part of 1% for the Planet, whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual revenue to environmental causes.
Our job involves a fair bit of overseas travel, and we wanted to use our membership to lessen our carbon footprint. Given this, we’ve chosen to donate to The Woodland Trust, who are tirelessly planting trees, bringing ancient woodlands back to life and protecting forests from decimation.
